North Shore Ski & Board
Identity & Environmental Graphics / 2009
For one of my graduation projects at ECU I focused on communication and environmental graphics for small businesses and retailers. I decided to cater my project specifically to North Shore Ski & Board, an independent retailer in North Vancouver.
I examined the current state of communication and marketing materials of the store and built my project around how to improve them. The main target was set on brand identity and store front presentation.
One part of the project focused on redesigning the North Shore Ski & Board and North Shore Girl word marks and signage. This would help improve brand consistency and quality. The other part involved designing a large scale window display that would cover the entire store front. The display would be read on two different levels, showing store information up close and displaying the stores' name from afar. This would create more attention, perhaps even buzz, and ultimately draw more people into the store.
